Standard Trailers have a fixed length and containers are accommodated on the same length as per
availability. A standard 40 feet Trailer is used to transport 40 feet Container or 2 nos 20 feet
container and, in some cases, even 1 nos 20 feet Container which is placed at centre of trailer. In
cases wherein a single container is to be delivered at narrow roads, the manoeuvring becomes
difficult in a 40 feet trailer. In such a scenario, Transporter needs to keep another small Trailer
handy.
Telescopic Trailers are the solution for such a scenario. The Trailer has a maximum length of 40 feet
which can accommodate container load as per 40 feet dimension. As and when required, this same
40 feet Trailer can be shortened to conform to 25 feet length which accommodates a 20 feet
container and can resolve manoeuvring issues in congested areas. This saves the Transporter from
keeping multiple length Trailers in fleet.
